Marcus “Shane” Baker graduated from Sam Houston State University in 1998 with a B.A. degree in Journalism/Speech Communications. He graduated with honors and distinction from Commonwealth Institute of Funeral Service in 2002 with an A.A.S. degree in Funeral Service and is a licensed Funeral Director/Embalmer in the state of Texas.

Shane has worked for Metcalf Funeral Directors, Cashner Funeral Home, and Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home for Service Corporation International, and he has earned many J.D. Power awards for his commitment to serving families.

Shane is currently working toward his Master’s degree in Teacher Leadership at Lamar University. He is also a Certified Dog Trainer, as well as a Singer, Songwriter, and Instrumentalist.
