Role: Part-Time Funeral Service Ambassador
Bradshaw-Carter Memorial & Funeral Services is seeking compassionate, dependable individuals to serve as Part-Time Ambassadors. This position plays a key role in ensuring that each family we serve receives the highest level of care, dignity, and attention.
-Position Overview
Ambassadors support the smooth operation of visitations, funerals, and related services. This includes greeting and assisting guests, supporting funeral directors & crematory operators both on-site and at offsite venues, answering phones, assisting with clerical and data entry tasks, and preparing printed materials and performs other duties, as assigned. Ambassadors must be comfortable interacting with families, maintaining professionalism, and representing the values of Bradshaw-Carter at all times.
Depending on the candidate’s interest and experience, the role may also include opportunities to assist licensed staff with care activities such as dressing/casketing, working with crematory personnel, assisting with first calls during daytime shifts, and performing errands related to permits and death certificates. However, the primary focus of this role is on guest services and event assistance.
-Work Schedule
This position requires flexibility, with most needs arising during afternoon and evening visitations or weekend services. Hours may vary from week to week based on client needs, so schedules may be inconsistent. This role may not include a dedicated work schedule, and hours are scheduled dependent on client needs.
-Physical & Professional Requirements
Candidates must be able to:
• Stand or sit for extended periods and comfortably bend, kneel, and lift 50 lbs. or more (flower and equipment transport is a frequent duty)
• Work indoors and outdoors, including during inclement weather
• Adhere to a professional dress code, maintain polished grooming and hygiene, and present a courteous and compassionate demeanor at all times
• Communicate clearly and confidently in person and over the phone
Qualifications
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (use of company vehicles may be required; background checks may be conducted)
• Willingness to work shifts varying based on client demand, including nights and weekends as scheduled
• Comfort interacting with grieving families and the public
